Join us at Mossom Creek!

Covid-19 has changed many of our daily routines and meant limited interactions as we try and stay safe and healthy during this pandemic.

At Mossom we appreciate the day-to-day contributions to our programs and facility from our adult volunteers. This pandemic has meant a reduction in activities and opportunities while we try to imagine a new way for our volunteers, friends, and community to work together while staying physically distanced!

In October we launched our Adult Programming to help our volunteers and adult participants connect through nature. The programs offered will be shaped around the gaps and opportunities that we see in our local community. All activities will be distanced, small group activities, practicing social distancing, and outdoors or via zoom whenever possible. If you have an idea for programming, let us know, we want to hear from you!

Details of upcoming programming below.

This programming is made possible because of generous support from the Port Moody Foundation and the Community Foundations of Canada Emergency Community Support Fund.

What’s next?

Our coffee chats have evolved into the Mossom Outdoor Club – they are a fun way to bring people together, catch up, and learn a thing or two! But we still want to hear from you! We’ve had several ideas for adult programming and are starting to develop small group activities… but we want your feedback!

Are you looking for walking buddies and places to enjoy nature at your pace and skill level? Do you want to learn more about local birds? Does your green thumb want to start planting a native plant or pollinator garden? Do you have skills and time that you’d like to contribute? Have you always wanted to do yoga by the creek? Contact us at info@mossomcreek.org.

Take our short survey! Let us know if you have ideas about programs and activities and we will see what we can do to facilitate these opportunities!

  • We want to know if your social interactions have decreased, changed, or stayed the same?
If we were to create covid safe programming opportunities for older adults, what type of programming would you like to see?
  • Please share any other ideas or activities you would be interested in.
