Join us at Mossom Creek!
Covid-19 has changed many of our daily routines and meant limited interactions as we try and stay safe and healthy during this pandemic.
At Mossom we appreciate the day-to-day contributions to our programs and facility from our adult volunteers. This pandemic has meant a reduction in activities and opportunities while we try to imagine a new way for our volunteers, friends, and community to work together while staying physically distanced!
In October we launched our Programs for Adults. These programs will be shaped around the gaps and opportunities that we see in our local community. All activities will be small group activities, practicing social distancing and outdoors whenever possible. We want to hear from you!
We are kicking off our Adult Programs with an invitation to join us at the beautiful Mossom Creek Park for a Coffee by the Creek every Friday morning in October. We hope to use these sessions to welcome you to Mossom Creek, to meet new and old friends, and hear about your interests and how we can help during this pandemic.
Join us for an outdoor casual conversation and a great cup of coffee (or tea!). We have limited each coffee group to 10 or fewer people. Coffee will be held outdoors and undercover of our education centre deck when necessary.

Our coffee chats are a fun way to bring people together, but we want to hear from you! We’ve had several ideas for adult programming and are starting to develop small group activities… but we want your feedback!
Are you looking for walking buddies and places to enjoy nature at your pace and skill level? Do you want to learn more about local birds? Does your green thumb want to start planting a native plant or pollinator garden? Do you have skills and time that you’d like to contribute? Have you always wanted to do yoga by the creek?
Take our short survey! Let us know if you have ideas about programs and activities and we will see what we can do to facilitate these opportunities!
