Join us for our Salmon Sunday Speaker Series at Mossom Creek Hatchery. These free events are open to the public and will take place after our Salmon Sunday volunteer hours. The Hatchery is open from 11:00-1:30 every Sunday and then from 1:30-2:30 on days when we have a Sunday speaker. See you there!

 

Introduction to the World of Beekeeping

August 26th, 2018 (1:30-2:30pm)
Martin Dale is a local teacher and hobbyist beekeeper who has maintained honeybee colonies in Coquitlam, North Vancouver, and in the heart of Southern California’s citrus growing region, for over forty years. He recently received his Master Beekeeper certification from the BC Ministry of Agriculture and UBC. He will discuss his beekeeping experiences and provide an introduction to the world of beekeeping for those who have an interest in the subject.

 

Importance of Connecting with Nature and Yoga with Anthea Hughes of Loam Yoga

September 16th , 2018 (1:30-2:30pm)
Anthea will discuss sleep cycles, food choices, how being in nature affects bio-rhythms plus give 30 minutes of guided yoga practice. We’ll have some yoga mats for you, however, bring your own if you have one!
